Someone calls, asks for parts department.
I check, tell them that parts man is not at his desk, would they like to hold or leave voice mail.
Caller then proceeds to ask of me the question he was planning on asking parts man, in great detail and at great length. It is some time before I can reply, to tell him that we do need to check with the parts department to ask about an ordered part.
I then ask again, would you like to hold, or leave a voice mail.
And finally he decides to go with voice mail.
I know it's just human nature. but I grow very weary of people not listening to what you tell them.
