Gov. Scott’s veto of Farm Share hurts state’s most vulnerable - 06/03/2011 | MiamiHerald.com: "- Sent using Google Toolbar"
So, apparently spending $75,000 to put $26,000,000 worth of food on the tables of the poor and hungry, just isn't considered very cost effective by Governor Scott.
This is the same Rick Scott who in "Taking an unusual tack to dealing with a $3.6 billion budget deficit, Florida Gov. Rick Scott unveiled a budget Monday that cuts $4 billion in property and corporate income taxes."
So: tax cuts for business and property owners, even if it breaks the budget? Good.
Food for the poor? Apparently, not so good.
And yet the poor keep voting in the very people that turn around and cut their throats.
Perhaps hunger has dulled their logic circuits.
