Italian scientists found guilty of manslaughter for failure to perform magic - ComPost - The Washington Post

One more case of science -0-, stupidity -1-.
Six Italian scientists, reports BBC News, have been found guilty of manslaughter for providing “inexact, incomplete and contradictory"  information before the earthquake at l’Aquila in April 2009. If higher courts uphold the sentence, they will have to spend six years in prison.
People really don't know what 'science' is. They either expect it to 'have all the answers about everything all the time and never be wrong' or 'because it doesn't have all the answers about everything that means they have no answers and therefore there is a god who is really in charge and there is no global climate change'.
People are very very stupid and I fear for the future of our species.
